Lakshmi Bharadwaj

Research Assistant

Lakshmi Bharadwaj is a second year part-time Master of Bioethics (MBE) student at Harvard Medical School. Currently, she is focused on a capstone project that examines AI in the context of surgical robotics. Prior to studying at Harvard, Lakshmi was at the summer school at Yale Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics, where she grew keenly interested in ethical aspects of technology. Lakshmi holds BS and MS degrees in Biomedical Engineering, and earned those degrees from UC Davis and CalPoly San Luis Obispo, respectively. She completed her thesis work for her masters program at Stanford, where she was primarily involved in tissue engineering approaches to 3D printing of biomaterials. She likes to work at the intersection of ethics, technology and molecular biology. Currently, she works full-time as a laboratory coordinator for Stanford Medicine. In her free time, she likes to read poetry and participate in theatre.
